Memory Match Game with Norman Rockwell real life illustrations from The Saturday Evening Post. A beneficial activity using player’s memory recollection, emotional memory, problem solving skills and eye - hand coordination. These images are the same as the puzzles and MatchMate Memory game. An additional benefit, I guarantee you will enjoy interacting with your loved ones using these activities, and they will love the real life illustrations by Norman Rockwell. Cards are over sized - 3.5 x 5" with great detail. 5 different image sets, each image set consists of 3 cards: full image, image with something missing and the missing object card. How to Play This is a versatile Memory Game, the object of the game is to find all the cards that make up a set and this can be done several ways, be creative. If this is easily done add 1 or 2 object cards, from other sets.
I usually start with 2 or 3 sets of images, depending on the level of the player or players. Play with all cards face up to assure success. Face down is too difficult and some will become easily frustrated. Place the full image card and the image card with something missing side by side for comparison, and ask them what is missing. Place the object cards within reach.
Be patient some residents are cautious in picking out the card that matches. If this happens I usually start talking about the full image and give hints.
A side note: some people enjoy just looking at the images, and then we talk about the image.
